Welcome To Banbridge Angling Club

Welcome to the website for Banbridge Angling Club Limited. The current Banbridge Angling Club was founded in 1946, under the name Bann Angling Club, by a group of local anglers to develop and manage game angling in the Banbridge area. Since 1946 the Club has seen many changes but it continues to thrive and provide quality game angling for beautiful wild brown trout, hard fighting rainbow trout, and end of season dollaghan and salmon. The Club is located at 2a Kiln Lane, Havelock Park, Lurgan Road, Banbridge BT32 4PD. It manages angling on Corbet Lough and on the River Bann from Katesbridge to Lenaderg. Please take time to view our Gallery for pictures of anglers and fish caught on our Club waters. Please also view our archive pictures of anglers and associates from yesteryear. If you are interested in joining the Club or if you want to find out more information please view the Membership Page. As this is a new website the Club would very much like Club members to be involved with content. If you would like to contribute any news, fishing reports, photographs or articles of interest please email us at info@banbridgeanglingclub.com.

New Angling Competition

home

Banbridge Angling Club in partnership with Armagh Angling Club is delighted to announce a new inter-club initiative for 2013 to build on the excellent relationship enjoyed between our two Clubs.

The 2013 season will see the launch of the inaugural 'Friendship Cup' competition which will be fished annually on a two leg basis between the two Clubs. The first leg will be fished on Lowry's Lake, Armagh on Saturday 8th June 2013 with the return leg on Corbet Lough, Banbridge on Saturday 7th September 2013. The teams will consist of 10 anglers. Each angler will fish to a three fish bag limit and the team with the heaviest bag over the two legs will take the cup.

Banbridge Angling Club is very grateful to its Competition Secretary Martin Dynes and the Armagh Angling Club's Chair Aidan Donnelly for taking forward this fantastic initiative. The Club wishes all competing anglers tight lines and a very successful and enjoyable competition.
